As the Super Bowl quickly approaches, you’re going to be inundated with a multitude of ways to bet on the big game this Sunday. Spread bets, totals, player props, anthem lengths and even Gatorade color will be getting the headlines in the betting world. But sometimes, the simplest bet is the one you’re looking for. If that sounds like you, and all you want to do is bet on who will win the game, then we’re here to break down what is the moneyline for the Super Bowl for you.
What Is the Moneyline?
Betting the moneyline on the Super Bowl is one of the most basic ways of how to bet on the Super Bowl online, or to bet on most sports for that matter.
The moneyline is the odds for either team to win straight up, by any amount of points. Moneyline odds are assigned by the bookmaker or sportsbook based on who is favored in the game.
The team deemed to be the favorite, will have shorter odds and pay out less if they win. While the team deemed to be the underdog, will have longer odds to pull off the upset.
These odds can and will adjust as the game approaches based on public betting trends as money and bet percentages begin to come in on both teams for various amounts of money. Because of this, it can be important to bet early and get the best of the number before these odds adjust.

What Is the Moneyline for Super Bowl 58?
This year’s Super Bowl is expected to be extremely tight with the 49ers favored by 2.5 points.
That also translates over to the moneyline where San Fran is -130 at FanDuel and Kansas City is +110 as you can see in the screenshot below.
So you’re probably wondering how much does a moneyline bet pay? Let’s break down these two bets.
If you’re betting on the 49ers and make a bet of say $10, if San Fran wins, your bet will return a total of $17.69, of which $10 will be your initial bet. Therefore meaning you will make $7.69 of profit. Let’s look at that example here. You can see the same odds image below as earlier, but with the 49ers selected in the blue box at -130.
That bet moves up to your betslip in the top right corner. There you can see your chosen bet, the “Wager” amount ($10) and the “To Win” amount for your profit ($7.69).
If you’re a bigger bettor and make a bet of say $100, that same wager would return $176.92. Of that, $100 ifs your wager and $76.92 is profit as another example.
Let’s flip this around to the Kansas City side of things where they are the underdogs. As such, betting on them to win the game will get you a larger payout. A $10 bet on the Chiefs at +110 would return $21. Of that, $10 is your stake and $11 is profit. You can see that example in the screenshot below.
And once again, to use a larger example, a $100 bet on the Chiefs at +110 would return $210, with $100 being your bet and $110 being profit.
