Messi’s new boots to kick off MLS 2024 against Real Salt Lake

Inter Miami’s Argentine star Lionel Messi took to social media, along with Adidas, to show off the footwear he’ll have for the new season in the MLS.

After a somewhat chaotic preseason, during which they only managed one victory against Hong Kong in the seven matches played across El Salvador, the United States, and Asia, the moment of truth has arrived for Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and their Inter Miami teammates aiming to compete at the very top of Major League Soccer.

Martino readies Miami for opener

They will host Real Salt Lake at what is now called Chase Stadium to kick off the 2024 MLS season, where Columbus Crew will seek to defend their crown, while teams like LA Galaxy, LAFC, and Inter Miami itself will aim to join the fray as serious contenders.

Tata Martino will seek to make the most of what was gained from the preparation tour, where, despite the unexpected results, they also lost Facundo Farías and Cremaschi.

Messi’s Adidas X Crazyfast Spark Gen10s

Through his social media channels and in collaboration with the German brand, Messi announced his new boots: the Adidas X Crazyfast Spark Gen10s.

“One thing that always gives me a good feeling… starting the new season with my new boots. Let’s go, Adidas,” he added in the statement.

The design of the shoes is in blue, white, and gold, alluding to the Argentine national team and their recent World Cup victory in Qatar 2022, where Messi was crowned MVP of the tournament.
