Khabib up for Mayweather bout – but not in Las Vegas

The Russian UFC fighter is keen to get it on with the similarly undefeated Floyd Mayweather but is not going to let Nevada in on the action.

A potential bout between Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov appears to be on the cards after both undefeated fighters expressed an interest in a cross-code contest but the Russian, fresh from defeating Conor McGregor in the octagon, has placed one condition on the proposal.

Mayweather, whose record across various boxing weight classes is 50-0 and whose last fight was a match-up against McGregor in the ring, has said he would be interested in staging the fight in Las Vegas but Khabib has ruled out that scenario.

Speaking to Mayweather via social nedia, Khabib wrote: “But no Vegas, they won’t pay my money.”

Khabib and McGregor were both suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission after the fight spilled out into the crowd after the Irishman’s loss and Khabib was ushered to the dressing rooms without receiving his belt.
