Saturday’s Best WNBA Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Jonquel Jones Over 9.5 Rebounds (-120)

In the last three games, Jonquel Jones has been an absolute force on the boards. Over this stretch, she has grabbed no fewer than 10 rebounds and is slowly inching closer to bringing her season average to 10.0 per game.

If the veteran forward can clear tonight’s asking price by more than two or three rebounds, it will be a while before we get a 9.5 total again. Might as well get in on this while it’s still available.

Connecticut surrenders the least amount of rebounds to their opponent across the entire WNBA. However, the Liberty grab the second-most rebounds of any team, and the Sun are in the bottom four in regards to team field-goal percentage.

We will continue to back the veteran forward during the current rebounding streak against a Sun team that may be a bit sluggish on the glass coming off a hard-fought back-to-back.

Marina Mabrey Under 14.5 Points (-120)

Revenge was clearly on full display last night when the sharp-shooting guard scored 24 points against her former team, the Chicago Sky. Tonight, Marina Mabrey faces a much more daunting task in the New York Liberty, on a back-to-back where the Sun are traveling.

Since joining Connecticut, Mabrey has only cleared 14.5 points two times, which were against two teams that allow over 85 points per game, Chicago and Dallas. New York is only giving up 75.9 points per game, holding opponents to a combined 37% between field-goal and three-point percentage.

The Connecticut guard was required to play a pivotal scoring role for Chicago. On her new team, they possess many capable options for baskets so the need to score isn’t as crucial to the success of the team.

This is a tough spot for any player, when you also factor in the short turn-around, it would appear the wiser play is to back the lower end of 14.5 points.

Caitlin Clark Over 19.5 Points (-120)

In what should be a thrilling contest, the rookie sensation, Caitlin Clark, will once again look to lead the Fever in a tough road matchup against Minnesota.

Since the Olympic break, Clark is averaging 26 points on 48% shooting from the field, while knocking down seven three-pointers. Indiana as a team has averaged 95 points post-break, a tremendous jump from the season average of 82.7 points per game.

Minnesota will do their best to preserve energy after a battle with Las Vegas last night. However, the Fever may look to continue to push the ball, and the starters for the Lynx may not have the legs for that after playing big minutes yesterday.

Kelsey Mitchell Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (-115)

There is more than one guard tearing up the scoreboard in Indiana. Kelsey Mitchell is having a career year in regards to points and field-goal percentage. The Ohio State guard is also just shy of a career-high average in three-pointers made with 2.5.

It must be mentioned that Minnesota puts hounding pressure on the perimeter, limiting opposing teams to only 6.6 three-pointers per game on 29% shooting.

Having said that, Mitchell has been unstoppable from deep since the break, knocking down 11 three-pointers in only two games. When the Fever last faced the Lynx on July 14, the Indiana guard scored 21 points, with three baskets from beyond the arc.

The points selection is also one to take a gander at. We just feel this number is too low for a player putting up this type of volume from deep.

Kayla McBride Under 13.5 Points (-115)

After being on the court last night for 32 minutes, Kayla McBride matches up against arguably the fastest team in the league, the Indiana Fever.

We spoke in yesterday’s article about how the shot attempts and field goals have declined recently for the All-Star out of Notre Dame. Last night, McBride made three field goals (all from deep) out of eight attempts.
The Minnesota guard has not cleared 13.5 points in any of the four games since the break.  We feel this streak could continue into tonight as well.
A late injury to Courtney Williams may result in her having to miss this contest. This could force McBride to take on more of a play-making role for others to score.

Enjoy the games today, enjoy the rest of the weekend, and good luck with your picks!
