Betway’s head trader Danny Hart gives his top tips on the 4th night of the Betway Premier League Darts, live on Sky Sports from Glasgow’s SSE Hydro arena.

Peter Wright v Adrian Lewis

Snakebite looked in fine form after winning his first televised match against Phil Taylor. The same cannot be said for Lewis who averaged under 90 in his match against West Newton which the latter won comfortably. The key to this match-up could be the consistency of Wright and the odds are in his and your favour for Snakebite to triumph in Week 4.

Peter Wright to win at 7/4

Peter Wright to win 7-4 – 7/1

Robert Thornton v Wes Newton

Thornton was the player of Week 3, big scores and big finishes made light work of Gary Anderson. This week he faces Wes Newton who also performed well in beating Adrian Lewis. Thornton is still underrated by most and his match winner odds are more than fair in this one. Newton will fight all the way but Thornton’s class should show in a close encounter.

Robert Thornton to win – 9/10

Robert Thornton to win 7-3 – 8/1

Simon Whitlock v Phil Taylor

No points for either man so far this this season means that this match is the best opportunity for both to get some points on the board. The Power has had some tough matches and seems to bring the best out if his opponent each week. Whitlock hasn’t looked himself and the luck just isn’t swinging his way at the moment. Last week he put two or three legs together where he showed he can still perform on the big stage, however he let Barney get in front early and couldn’t peg him back. The odds for Taylor look too short so I reckon your best chance is with The Wizard. With both players desperate for the win, maybe a Draw No Bet safety net could be good value.

Whitlock Draw No Bet v Taylor – 11/4

Whitlock to win 7-4 – 14/1

Michael van Gerwen v Raymond van Barneveld

Without doubt this clash between the two Dutch darting giants is the match of the evening. I expect big scores, plenty of 180s and some spectacular finishes. Barney will be up for this game and if he can bring his ‘A Game’ then he could run MvG close. These two finished 1st and 2nd in the league last year and will be fighting all the way to the end. The odds look too low for MvG but I do expect him to win, so I will find a couple of correct scores that appeal.

Michael van Gerwen to win 7-3 – 11/2

Michael van Gerwen to win 7-4 – 9/2

Dave Chisnall v Gary Anderson

Both prolific 180 scorers and both known for missing a few too many doubles, this match really could go either way. Chizza and the Flying Scotsman are capable of averaging 100+ but whether they get anywhere near that remains to be seen. Chisnall has battled through each week, a great comeback a couple of weeks ago against Wright got him a point and he put up a good fight v MvG last week. Anderson was deflated by Thornton last week, and it has to be said, not many would have churned out a result with the form Thornton showed on the night. I think siding with Anderson could be the call this week, he isn’t playing badly, and at odds against, it could be a nice payday.

Gary Anderson to win – 5/4

Gary Anderson to win 7-5 – 11/2
